LARUICCI Fall/Winter 2018: Catholicism in the Renaissance

To coincide with this years Met Gala theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, LARUICCI designed an exclusive line of religious inspired jewelry to be sold in the Met gift shop. These pieces were just whetting your appetite for what is to come.

LARUICCI Fall/Winter 2018 takes it’s inspiration from Catholicism in the Renaissance period, borrowing the warm golden tones and opulent luxury from Catholic architecture and traditional Catholic fashion. The collection was made with constant visual inspiration from artists like Botticelli, Michelangelo & DaVinci. The chapels, churches, and basilicas of both Italy and here at home in New York served as ornate structure guides as well as palettes for pattern, material, and color pulling.

Renaissance, the French word for 'Rebirth', was an integral inspiration for the collection. These pieces were designed to transport you to a time extravagance, sin and devotion. Explore the collection now.
